Metal separators apply the principle of electromagnetic sensing to detect metals. All metals, both ferrous and non-ferrous, have a high detection sensitivity. The introduction of ferromagnetic metals into the detection area affects the distribution of magnetic lines of force in the detection area, which in turn affects the magnetic flux in the fixed range. Non-ferromagnetic metal into the detection area will produce eddy current effect, will also make the detection area of the magnetic field distribution changes, usually the metal separator consists of two parts, namely, the metal separator and the automatic rejection device, of which the detector is the core part. Inside the detector there are three groups of coils, namely the central transmitting coil and two equal receiving coils, through the middle of the transmitting coil connected to the oscillator to generate high-frequency variable magnetic field, the idle state of the two receiving coils of the induced voltage in the magnetic field is not interfered with each other before the cancellation of the equilibrium state. Once the metal impurities into the magnetic field area, the magnetic field is disturbed, this balance will be broken, the two receiving coils of the induced voltage can not be offset, the induced voltage is not offset by the control system to amplify the processing, and produce an alarm signal (metal impurities detected). The system can use this alarm signal to drive, for example, an automatic rejection device, which removes the metal contaminants from the production line.
