Enamelled reactor is the glass containing high silica, lined in the inner surface of the steel container, burned at high temperature and firmly attached to the metal surface to become a composite material products. Therefore, it has the double advantages of glass stability and metal strength, and is an excellent corrosion-resistant equipment.
Enameled reactor is kind of pressure vessel which combine the inside glass fusion with the outside steel structure into one body, it is resistant to attack from most chemicals and to mixtures of corrosive materials that is used in a wide range of chemical processes that involve harsh chemicals. Enameled reactors are meticulously produced with an impermeable, smooth, anti-stick surface that achieves an optimum balance of corrosion resistance, thermal properties and mechanical strength. Enameled reactors have become well known and broadly used for carrying out elevated or reduced temperature and/or elevated or reduced pressure chemical reactions as well as the blending (mixing) of non-reacted elements or compounds in field as chemical, pharmaceutical, bio-tech, food&beverage, flavor&fragrance, and nutraceutical industry.
Glass lined reactor is widely used in chemical, petroleum, pharmaceutical, pesticide, food and other industries. In order to ensure the normal use of glass-lined equipment, its main performance and installation, use of precautions are described below.
1, the use of pressure: 0.2 --- 0.4Mpa
2, acid resistance: a variety of organic acids, inorganic acids, organic solvents have good corrosion resistance. Such as glass-lined specimens placed in 20% HCI solution boiled 48h, the corrosion rate of 0.9g/m.d (excellent indicator for 1.0g/m.d).
3, alkali resistance: glass-lined alkaline solution corrosion resistance is poorer than the acid solution. However, the glass-lined specimens placed in 1N sodium hydroxide solution corrosion, test temperature 80 ºC time 48h. corrosion rate of 6.76g/m.d (superior indicator for 7.0g/m.d).
4, operating temperature: glass-lined equipment heating and cooling, should be carried out slowly. The operating temperature of glass-lined equipment is 0-200ºC, and the resistance to rapid temperature change is ≥200ºC.
5, porcelain layer thickness: glass equipment porcelain layer thickness 0.8-2.0mm, glass-lined equipment accessories porcelain layer thickness 0.6-1.8mm.
6, resistance to voltage: glass lining has good insulation, when the glass lining in the specified thickness with 20KV high-frequency spark inspection of the porcelain layer, high-frequency sparks can not break through the porcelain layer.
7, impact resistance: the smaller the internal stress of the glass layer, the better the elasticity, the greater the hardness, the higher the bending and compressive strength, the better the impact resistance. Glass layer in the specified thickness, with a diameter of 30mm, weight 112g steel ball impact, its impact power of 282 × 10J (superior indicators for 260 × 10J).
