Frame
The frame is a four-walled rigid frame with upper and lower openings. It is used to support the eccentric shaft and bear the reaction force of the crushed materials. It requires sufficient strength and rigidity. It is generally cast as a whole with cast steel. Small machines can also use high-quality cast iron instead of cast steel. The frame of the mainframe needs to be cast in sections and then firmly connected with bolts to form a whole. The casting process is complicated. The frame of the homemade small jaw crusher can also be welded by thick steel plates, but the rigidity is poor.
Jaws and side guards
Both the fixed jaw and the movable jaw are composed of a jaw bed and a jaw plate. The jaw plate is the working part and is fixed on the jaw bed with bolts and wedge irons. The jaw bed of the fixed jaw is the front wall of the frame, and the jaw bed of the movable jaw is hung on the periphery. It must have sufficient strength and rigidity to withstand the crushing reaction force, so it is mostly made of cast steel or iron.
Transmission Parts
The eccentric shaft is the main shaft of the crusher, which is subject to huge bending and torsion forces and is made of high carbon steel. The eccentric part must be finished and heat treated, and the bearing lining must be cast with babbitt alloy. One end of the eccentric shaft is equipped with a pulley and the other end is equipped with a flywheel.
The material is broken by the periodic movement of the movable jaw. When the movable jaw swings toward the fixed jaw around the hanging mandrel, the material between the two jaw plates is subjected to comprehensive effects such as crushing, splitting, and bending. At the beginning, the pressure is small, causing the volume of the material to shrink, and the materials are close to each other and squeezed tightly; when the pressure rises to exceed the strength that the material can withstand, crushing occurs. On the contrary, when the movable jaw leaves the fixed jaw and moves in the opposite direction When swinging, the material moves downward by its own weight. Each periodic movement of the movable jaw causes the material to be crushed and sent downwards for a certain distance. After several cycles, the crushed materials will be discharged from the discharge port. As the motor continuously rotates, the movable jaw of the crusher makes periodic movements to crush and discharge materials, thus realizing mass production.
