3 phase decanter centrifuge is mainly designed for Solid-liquid-liquid three-phase separation of materials.With our over 10 years of experience in the separation industry, it is the most advanced type machine for 3 phase separation. It is designed for 24 hours continuous and smooth operation throughout the day. It is mainly composed of driving system, decanter bowl, screw conveyor inside the bowl, cover box, skid and VFD control panel.

To ensure that the separation process can take place, the solid phase must be the specifically heaviest phase and the two liquid phases must have different densities.The main difference between the 2 phase decanter and 3 phase decanter is that the 3 phase decanter not only separate the solids but also separate two phase of the liquid.

Differential

The differential drives the screw discharger and makes it rotate at a constant speed of the external drum. The speed difference between the external drum and the screw discharger is determined by the reduction ratio of the differentialand the speed of the external drum.

The feed product is pumped into the decanter centrifuge through an inlet. Feed into a horizontal bowl and then rotate. The bowl consists of a cylindrical portion and a conical portion. The separation takes place in the cylindrical part of the bowl. Fast rotation produces centrifugal forces of up to 4000 x g. Under these forces, solid particles with a higher density are collected and compacted on the wall of the bowl. The scroll (also a screw conveyor or screw conveyor) rotates inside the bowl at slightly different speeds. This speed difference is called a differential speed. In this way, the scroll conveys the precipitated particles along the cylindrical portion of the bowl to the conical end of the bowl. At the smallest end of the conical portion of the filter bowl, dehydrated solids leave the filter bowl through the discharge port. The clarified liquid exits through the mating disc (internal centrifugal pump).
With a 3 phase decanter centrifuge, it is possible to separate 3 phases from each other in one process step only. For example, two liquids which cannot be mixed because of different densities (e.g. oil and water) are separated from a solids phase. The heavy liquid (water) collects in the middle between the oil and the solids layer. Thus the two liquids separated from each other can be drawn off from the decanter. The solids are transported via the scroll to the discharge openings as it happens also in 2-phase separation

1.What's the application of centrifuge?

This machine is widely used in many fields such as environmental, pharmaceutical food, chemical industry for separation/washing/dewatering . It can separate almost all liquid and solid with proper feature.

2.How to clean the machine?

The machine has self-cleaning function. When the processing is finished, you just put one button and the machine will do the cleaning automatically.

3. How to choose the machine material?

For the material, we have stainless steel 304, 316 and 321 for your option. Generally SS304 is used. If there's suspension with corrosion, then SS 321 /316 or Ti is needed.

4.What's the capacity of the machine?

Firstly we have different model with different capacity for this machine.

Secondly, the capacity will be customized according to concentration of the suspension. Higher the concentration, lower the capacity.

5. How is the processing result?

The finished cake moisture and solid lost rate is based on the material feature. And different machine just brings different processing capacity. Also we can offer testing service to get realistic results.
