The machine adopts automatic control and has the advantages of high efficiency, low material consumption, convenient operation, and economic maintenance cost. It adopts a small piston structure for gaining variable discharging capacity, and PLC controls both partly and fully discharging in order to get rid of sediment. The clear liquid is pumped out by a centripetal pump, the sludge is discharged automatically and partly. The machine is one kind of rotary machine with high speed. After accurate dynamic balancing, it can run for a long time with low vibration, safety, and security. It has interlayer refrigeration.

Structure and principle

How does Disc Separator work?
The core components of a disc stack centrifuge are a rotating drum and the conical discs stacked within (typically dozens to hundreds of them). During operation, the drum rotates at high speed (typically 3,000-15,000 rpm), generating a powerful centrifugal force.

The mixed material to be separated enters through a feed pipe at the center of the drum. Centrifugal force forces it toward the drum walls. As it passes through the gaps between the discs, components of different densities are separated due to differences in sedimentation velocity.

Higher-density components (such as solid particles or heavy liquid) are flung toward the outer edges of the discs, sliding along their surfaces toward the inner walls of the drum, ultimately exiting through the bottom discharge port or heavy liquid outlet.

 Lower-density components (such as light liquid) gather toward the center of the drum, flowing upward along the inner edges of the discs, and exiting through the light liquid outlet at the top.

The discs shorten the settling distance for particles in the material, increasing the separation area and significantly improving separation efficiency.
